THE CHALLENGE
Launch a storytelling podcast in MedellĂ­n when podcasting was still new to Latin America. Build an audience from zero with no budget, no team, and no infrastructure. Do it all solo while maintaining quality across audio production, video editing, social media, and distribution.
The challenge was proving authentic conversations could find an audience organically. Podcasting was just taking off in the region with no playbook for Spanish-language interview shows. We had to manage the complete production pipeline alone: record and edit multi-camera video, produce audio for multiple platforms, design graphics, write copy, distribute across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, and select guests with unique stories worth sharing.
THE INSIGHT
People don't need perfectly polished content. They need real conversations with people who have something valuable to share. The most compelling content comes from authentic dialogue, not scripted interviews.
The podcast didn't need to be about one topic. It needed to be about the human experience. Every person has a story that can inspire or teach. We focused on guest selection and conversation flow over production polish, asking questions that revealed character rather than credentials. The goal was making listeners feel like they were part of the conversation, not just observers.
THE IDEA
Create a storytelling platform bringing untold stories to listeners in Latin America as a one-person operation. The format: long-form interviews with flexible questions allowing natural conversation. Each episode centered on the guest's story and perspective.
We produced four seasons over two years. Started audio-only, expanded to video by seasons 3 and 4, requiring three-camera editing alongside audio production. Content distributed across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Beyond episodes, we designed branded merchandise (shirts, hoodies, mugs, stickers) and managed all visual identity, social content, and community engagement in-house.
