THE CHALLENGE
Build a brand architecture agency from the ground up. Not just the client-facing brand, but the entire infrastructure that makes excellent work repeatable and scalable.
This meant creating everything: a complete visual identity system, service design frameworks, operational systems for project delivery, pricing models that reflect true value, legal frameworks to protect both agency and clients, and internal workflows that maintain quality at scale.
The challenge was building an agency with two complementary strengths. First, the creative capability to develop brands that feel authentic and compelling. Second, the operational rigor to deliver that work consistently across multiple clients, timelines, and industries. The goal was to build an agency that integrated both from day one, creating a foundation where exceptional creative work could scale without compromising quality.
THE INSIGHT
Most agencies focus on the work they do for clients but neglect the systems that make that work scalable. Without infrastructure, agencies face delays, inconsistencies, scaling issues, redundancies, and higher costs. Projects take longer than they should. Files get lost. Processes get reinvented with every new client. Teams burn out trying to maintain quality while building everything from scratch each time.
Building a skeleton that can support client work is as important as how the brand looks on the outside. The right infrastructure creates streamlined processes and consistency while optimizing operations. It means having a DAM system where every asset is findable, legal templates that protect both parties, pricing models that reflect true value, and workflows that maintain quality without requiring constant oversight.
When infrastructure is in place, the creative team stops thinking about how things are processed and focuses entirely on the work itself. They trust the established process to handle the logistics. THE IDEA
Build NERTIA as both a creative studio and a systems-driven agency. Develop the full brand identity, service offering, and operational backbone that allows the agency to scale across athletes, artists, and brands while maintaining craft and consistency.
The approach was to build in two parallel tracks. First, create the external brand identity and positioning that communicates what NERTIA is and who it serves. Second, build the internal infrastructure that makes delivering on that promise repeatable, efficient, and scalable. These tracks informed each other. The services we positioned externally were designed around workflows we could execute internally. The operational systems we built internally enabled the consistency and quality we promised externally.
